Introduction

EKel Technology Ltd. (Tax ID 00018716, "EKel", "we") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to ekeltechnology.com and to the iOS application "EKel Finance Cloud" (see the supplement below).

We process personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and applicable international standards.

1Categories of data we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect the following:

Contact information: name, email, phone, company, job title — submitted via the contact form.
Enquiry details: the message you send us and any context you choose to share.
Service-delivery data: information shared with us during a consulting engagement (governed primarily by the signed SOW/MSA).
Website usage data: pages viewed, time on site, referrer, anonymous device data via Google Analytics — only if you have consented to analytics cookies.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, language preference.

2How we use your data

We use personal data for the following purposes only:

Responding to enquiries and qualifying potential engagements.
Delivering Salesforce consulting, AI integration, and custom application development services.
Sending you communications you have agreed to receive (e.g. case-study updates, insight articles).
Improving the website, content quality, and user experience based on aggregate analytics.
Meeting legal, regulatory, accounting, and audit obligations.
Protecting the security and integrity of our systems.

3Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data only as follows:

Service providers who help us operate the site and contact workflow (e.g. Salesforce for Web-to-Lead, Vercel for hosting, Google Analytics for aggregate traffic).
Professional advisors (legal, accounting, audit) under a duty of confidentiality.
Law enforcement or regulators when required by valid legal process.
Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or restructuring — subject to equivalent protection.

4Security

We use administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, including encryption in transit (TLS), access control, monitoring, and routine backups. No system can guarantee absolute security; if we ever became aware of a personal data incident affecting you, we would notify you in accordance with applicable law.

5Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
Request a copy of that data.
Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
Request that we stop processing or delete your data, where we have no overriding legal basis to retain it.
Withdraw consent for analytics or marketing cookies at any time via the cookie-preferences panel (footer link "Manage cookies").

To exercise any of these rights, email inquiry@ekeltechnology.com. We will respond within a reasonable period and may need to verify your identity first.

6Retention periods

We retain personal data only as long as necessary:

Enquiry data: retained for up to 3 years for follow-up and service tracking.
Contract data: retained for at least 5 years as required by law.
Marketing data: retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
Website usage data: typically 12–24 months.

When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.

7Children's privacy

Our services are intended for enterprise customers and are not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8Cross-border data transfers

As a Salesforce partner and as a user of cloud-based service providers (e.g. Vercel, Google, Clerk, Convex, Anthropic, OpenAI), some data may be processed outside Taiwan. We ensure all such transfers comply with the Personal Data Protection Act and use appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses and verifying that recipients maintain adequate data protection measures.

9Updates to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the website or, where appropriate, by email. We recommend reviewing this page periodically. Continuing to use our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Mobile app supplement (EKel Finance Cloud)

This supplement applies to the iOS application "EKel Finance Cloud" (bundle identifier com.ekel.mypartner.mobile, the "App") published by EKel Technology Ltd. It supplements the policy above and addresses data processing specific to the App; everything else not specifically modified here continues to be governed by the main policy.

1. Data the App collects

In addition to the categories above, the App collects:

Account data: email address, name, avatar, organisation membership and role.
Financial data: income, expense, payroll, expense-claim, leave, and business records you enter or upload.
Receipt images: invoices, receipts, and other documentation captured via camera or library.
Document files: PDFs and other files uploaded from your device.
Device identifiers: Apple Push Notification Service device tokens used to deliver push notifications.
Device and technical info: device model, OS version, App version, locale settings.

The App does NOT collect precise geolocation, contacts, microphone audio, health data, or Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA).

2. Third-party service providers

The App relies on the following processors and shares only the data necessary for the declared purpose. Data processing agreements are in place with each.

Your data is stored or processed in the USA, which constitutes a cross-border transfer. EKel requires the providers above to apply security measures consistent with the Personal Data Protection Act of Taiwan and international best practice.

3. App permissions

The App requests the following device permissions when needed; you can revoke any of them in iOS Settings:

Camera: capture receipts to upload to expense-claim workflows.
Photo Library: select existing receipt images.
File access: attach local documents to claims or records.
Push notifications: deliver expense-approval, payroll, and other business notifications.

4. App-specific retention

Account data: deleted within 30 days of account closure, except records retained at least 10 years to comply with Taiwan's Business Accounting Act.
Receipt images and financial records: retained per the same statutory periods.
Push device tokens: invalidated and stop being used when you uninstall or sign out.

5. Your rights (App)

You can exercise data-subject rights via:

Editing or deleting individual records inside the App.
Requesting account closure through your organisation's administrator.
Emailing inquiry@ekeltechnology.com to request access, copies, correction, restriction, or deletion of your data.

6. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

7. Changes to this supplement

Material changes to this supplement will be announced inside the App or by email.
